Tra Trieste e Gorizia, sulla SS 55 del “Vallone”, circondati dalla rude ma vera Natura carsica, c’è Palchisce, la piccola frazione di Doberdò del Lago, un agglomerato di poche case di derivazione contadina. Tutta la zona è tipicamente rurale, con sentieri e carrarecce che portano da Gorizia a Trieste, attraverso prati, boschi e colline ancora squisitamente “selvaggi”, frequentati da gitanti, ciclisti, runners e appassionati di ippica. Qui non si è costretti da recinzioni, divieti o altre limitazioni: qui si è liberi di godere gli spazi aperti, sentirsi parte dei luoghi, ripercorrere la Storia, attraverso le trincee, i monumenti, le targhe che si trovano lungo i percorsi. Non è un territorio interessato dai grossi flussi turistici ma chi ci viene è un ospite di qualità, che normalmente si innamora di questi luoghi genuini, come genuina è l’accoglienza degli abitanti, che non viene da corsi di formazione, ma sgorga dal cuore. It is not an area with large tourist influxes, but those who come here are distinguished guests, who typically fall in love with these authentic places, as is the genuine welcome of the locals, which comes not from training courses, but from the heart.
